Natural Light Photography

I specialize in natural light photography. 99.9% of my shoots are done outside. I've photographed in the rain, sun, snow, wind, you name it. If you're willing to "brave it" - so am I!

I also consider myself more of a photojournalistic type of photographer - I love the challenge of getting genuine smiles on the faces of my subjects; young and old! While I'm not afraid of posing groups, I also try to get more interactions than just set up poses. Join me for a session of laughs and adventures of all kinds.

I love all animals, but I'm particularly obsessed with dogs. My senior girl, "Moshi" is the light of my life. Let me capture the special bond you have with your fur baby. We will work together to photograph your pets obedient to naughty- all welcome!

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I don't have a set number, but I typically deliver 20+ fully edited images.

How should we dress for our family session?

Match- but not matchy-matchy. It's great to pick a color, but not go ALL in on that one color. Complimentary colors are best. I have some resources to share if you struggle with ideas of coordinating for your photo shoot.

Do you do newborn sessions?

Unfortunately, I don't. Newborn photographers are AMAZING and really, really good at what they do. You need special equipment and a familiarity with our most precious little lives. I have done some newborn photos in the past, but until I get a studio space with the proper set up...I'd rather give you recommendations for someone who's more qualified.

Do you do weddings?

YES! ....and no. I specialize in natural lighting and don't have the proper equipment for photographing dark church-type buildings. My husband and I did an 8 mile hiking elopment to say our "I Do's" and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do some of those. So don't be afraid to reach out with your wedding inquiries. I'll be straightforward with whether I can do them or not.

How long is a session?

Sessions vary in duration and really depend on the number of people there. If I'm doing a large family group, that's going to take more time than a couple getting engagement pictures. I'd say you can bet on 30-60 minutes. I've never been hung up on sessions going "over" on time. We shoot until I feel like I've capture what I need.
