Our Process
01.
Choose a date
Let's work together to find a mutual date that we're free. I do work a full time job outside of photography, so evenings and weekends are generally best for me.

Pick a location
Do you like something a little more urban feeling? How about fall colors and vibes? Share your vision with me and we'll work together to find the perfect spot for your shoot.
03.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Sessions are roughly 30-60 minutes long, but I don't have any sort of strict time policy. We work together until I feel like I have the images that we need.
04.
Edit & Delivery
Generally, it takes me about 3-5 weeks to edit and return a full shoot. You will receive a client gallery on my website with an exclusive pin number for you to download your digital images.
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
I don't have a set number, but I typically deliver 20+ fully edited images.
Do you do weddings?
YES! ....and no. I specialize in natural lighting and don't have the proper equipment for photographing dark church-type buildings. My husband and I did an 8 mile hiking elopment to say our "I Do's" and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do some of those. So don't be afraid to reach out with your wedding inquiries. I'll be straightforward with whether I can do them or not.
Do you do newborn photos?
Unfortunately, I don't. Newborn photographers are AMAZING and really really good at what they do. You need special equipment and a familiarness with our most precious little lives. I have done some newborn photos in the past, but until I get a studio space with the proper set up...I'd rather give you recommendations for someone who's more qualified.
How should we dress for our family session?
Match- but not matchy-matchy. It's great to pick a color, but not gow ALL in on that one color. Complimentary colors are best. I have some resources to share if you struggle with ideas of coordinating for your photo shoot.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Of course! I don't know many people who actually enjoy having their photos taken. It's my job to make you feel confident and comfortable. Come to your session with an open mind and ready to laugh. Those two things lead to authentic smiles and great photos!
How long is a session?
Sessions vary in duration and really depend on the number of people there. If I'm doing a large family group, that's going to take more time than a couple getting engagement pictures. I'd say you can bet on 30-60 minutes. I've never been hung up on sessions going "over" on time. We shoot until I feel like I've capture what I need.
